Gilboa Dam Overlok 📍

The brand-new Gilboa Dam Overlook has officially reopened to the public following the completion of a massive, 20-year engineering upgrade. Closed since December 2005 due to structural safety concerns, the scenic viewpoint returned with a centennial dedication ceremony. It commemorates 100 years since water was first impounded to create the Schoharie Reservoir, which serves as a major source of drinking water for New York City.
